Kaitlyn is very excited to be a member of the TCPS family and share her love of science with TCPS students! Kaitlyn grew up in San Diego and graduated from Rancho Bernardo High School. She then attended Pepperdine University where she earned her B.S. in Biology with a minor in oboe performance followed by a Master's in Education/Teaching Credential from National University.
Kaitlyn has loved science and teaching for as long as she can remember. Her favorite branches of science are marine biology and ecology. Kaitlyn started teaching in Tampa, FL, and has taught all grades K-12 in addition to undergraduate students at the University of South Florida. Her favorite parts of teaching are getting to know each of her students and helping all of her students learn about the world around them. Kaitlyn is eagerly looking forward to exploring and learning with her students!
In her free time, Kaitlyn enjoys spending time with her family, crocheting, going to the beach, and going to Skyzone with her daughter Ayla!
